Harry Eugene Crews was born on June 7, 1935. Years in Bacon County, Georgia, as the son of Ray and Myrtis, who worked on a desperate and poor farm in poor South Georgia. Ray shrank at the age of 35, and the family could not stay alone. The other tycoon had more than average, although he had no problems. She was supposed to be writing:
My father died of a heart attack when I was 21 months old, and my brother was 5 years old. The second marriage was to a man who could have been a good man if he hadn't been a violent drunk. ("Mom, he single-handedly pulled out his pregnancy" 55) 1
When his mother remarried, Crews earned money and thought of him as his father, how aggressive and hostile family life had become.
The first of two debilitating crew illnesses occurred in 1940.age 5 years. The first was fever, which accompanied a painful muscle spasm, which caused the foot muscle to contract, bringing five to his legs, forcing him to sit in bed for six weeks, and the cramps in his legs receded and could be transferred after the farm. And after they melted, the crew nodes were expanded until they were expanded on the floor, worked and increased atrophic measurements. Later, the crew period was attributed to illness as a physiological manifestation of the mental stress of an explosive family life.
Not as the crews were "good and whole" (see 107), they were strong enough to participate in games with their brother and relatives. In the childhood of his autobiography, Crews talks about a game called "Crack the whip", and one day he especially talks about the intense intensity of cleansing, through fire, memories. On that day, myrtis had a water connection installed at ground level, where the pig was immediately analyzed to remove the hair from the skin. When the cancer-related chains were suddenly and forcibly released, the crews were crushed into a hot pot of water to accompany him. He pulled the children out of the pot and put them next to him and looked at him.:
I touched my right hand on the left, and everything slid like a wet glove. That is, the skin for excess and the back of my length, along with the nails, everything is simply covered and collected on the ground. I saw the claw lying in a small puddle, my body was made on the ground in front of me. (Odc. 113)
The crew will need several months before the crew heals and the skin grows back.
While a passerby plot is supposed to follow the yellow zero of the earth, Mirtis took his point of view one night from a man who grew up in a serious picture and constantly shot at a table with a rifle in his house. South in Jacksonville, Florida, a burgeoning industrial city where crews brought their young years by reading and writing everything they could.
1953. when his brother was already fighting in Korea, the crews, who are only 17 years old, volunteered for the Marines:
Being good, southern, ignorant in our country, we did what is good, Alps, ignorant: we appeared as quickly as possible, moving restlessly and moving our blood in a good, Southern, ignorant, rural form. (Introduction, Classic 12)
They had other factors for crew growth. In an interview with Rod Elrod, the crew said that in his youth he had to move and find his way. "I wanted to go. Joining the sea body was the only way to betray, to clarify the status " (70). The setup of the service was done to connect with most of the world, with what was received in several incoming books. "I was so isolated and I only had it because I was struggling to get books. I knew there was a world, and I wanted to see it" (Elrod 70). During the three years of service, the crew began to read widely and exhaustively, including all the novels by Mickey Spillane and Graham Greene: 2
I answered, Understood, and I had to write books. . . When I entered the first service and entered the main library, it was like I dropped the hungry indicators. I was standing in the building, always keeping a book at hand. (Introduction, Classic 12).
Freed from the Marines, the crews returned to Bacon County to open their family. As a child, Krews wrote that in July 1956. standing on the edge of the title field, working with his four relatives from the east, cursing the summer heat in Georgia. He wrote: "sit there, feeling how long he will leave this place and these people, and at the same time knowing that he cannot leave everything forever.(Odc. 171)
A few months later, Crews enrolled at the University of Florida:
The law I sent to university is not because someone can teach me fiction, but because I thought someone could teach me how to make a living when I learned about fiction. Nevertheless, at the end of two years, holding my breath and choking on truth and beauty, I dropped out of school in favor of a Triumph motorcycle. (Classic 12)
The crew's journey took 18 months. The essay "The Violence that Finds Us" documents part of the journey as an introduction to classic strollers. Over time, the ensembles worked as a bartender, a modern chef, for 3 years and performed at the accompanying carnival party (stage, classic crews 13). 4 was adopted in a small Wyoming town and the "one-day Black Indian fight" in general (introduction, classic crew 14). 5
Speaking to the team in 1974. In 1958, Al Burt noted that "his difficult writing ambitions came again [to the University of Florida] in 1958. year " (1974). About returning to higher education , Krause wrote:
But at least I still had a fine government fool. If I have a lot of loads on courses and I have an average, then three points, and I have more time than it takes to receive and send them, you will know what you are writing. (Introduction, Classics 14) 6
During this period, the crews participated in the first creativity class led by Andrew Little. Putin was the author of the Velvet Horn, the double editor of the Sevanee Review, the Flannery professor ego O'Connor and Madison Jones, and the founder of Farmer, a literary social movement that sought to defend the main achievements of industrial culture in the south. 7 A Rolling Stone article highlights one of the crew's previous experiences with Taskmaster Litle:
When Crews made one of his previous attempts, the anger of his professor-he barely watched the first episode of the story-threw him back. "Burn it, son," he said. "Fire at a beautiful refinery." (Hedegaard 1982) 8
Before leaving Gainesville on the way, Harry met Sally Ellis, another university student, and they had a child, Patrick Scott, who was born 4 years old.September 1957 (parents, sons, blood, classic crews 173). Harry and Sally have been married for 24 years.January 1960. (Hargraves IX). The second child, Byron Jason, was born on August 24, 1960. ("parents, sons, blood" of the classic team 174). When Crews graduated, the Crews family moved north to Jacksonville, where she taught high school English for a year (Bert 1974). 9
The crew returned to Gainesville, where he began learning English. Immersed in graduate school and constantly dedicated to the writer's museum, Krews admitted that his family suffered as a result:
I try to write, relax and do everything else when I'm tired. For example, when I was a soldier, I tried to be a man when I was tired. I woke up in the morning and forced myself to become a writer and take care of a man, took care of some jobs that I had to feed my family, trying to learn how to be a writer. (Bonetti, 1983)
During their studies, they developed, and Sally brought her children from Florida ("parents, sons, blood" of classic carriages 176).
Harry graduated from high school, and after changing the introduction based on his writing for a graduate program in creative writing at the University of Florida, he went south to FT. Lauderdale, Florida, where he taught English at Broward Community College. When Harry settled in South Florida, he transferred Sally "out of love and relationships for my son" to join him and remarry ("parents, sons, blood").
Shortly after their appearance in July 1961. In 2005, Patrick Scott drowned in the database of neighbors ("parents, sons, blood" of the classic team 173). Crews was beheaded by Patrick, and accused him of not being successful like the boys and his family, and swallowed scientific urine. In Fathers, Sons, Blood, an essay that deeply reveals his feelings, Chris wrote:
Having a low budget does not prevent the guilt from being real, like an open wound. But in my case it was still hot. Part of me insisted that I provoke him at the place of death. (Classic, 175)
Eventually, Harry and Sally will evolve for the second time:
I am not interested in rewriting the blame for who is to blame for the disappearance of our marriage, but I know that I was obsessed with the desperation to become a writer, and besides, I lived with the transmission, which I later began to change for this difficult purpose. ("Parents, Sons, Blood" Classic 176)
Crews realized with regret that it cost his family to learn to write. However, it hurts how few rewards-how great the price-the crew was preferable to their exile. In an interview in 1974. in the year Sterling Watson called the team that it was "the time when [he] started writing and sometimes [he] started publishing.":
